this song was very intentionally written for my cat, Bella. 18 years of joy with her, and she was certainly one of my closest friends. Nobody heard me play more than Bella, except maybe Cristian.

In May 2020 she caught an eye infection that ended up claiming her unexpectedly. This song was my way of coping with her struggle and eventual passing, as well as going on lots of runs. I sing it to her, wherever she is now, and to my own heart, which is where her memory resides.

If any of you have seen Ally's cat, Margot, that's a good reference for Bella - she's a spitting image. her instagram handle is @stinkymothgirl for anyone curious.
