This collection of songs was created to be played throughout first annual student led drama festival at Douglas College of the same name, Effloresce. I was given the task of writing and recording music that would explore similar themes as the three plays in the festival. Perhaps the most prominent theme weaved throughout each production is the often scary and perplexing transition into adulthood. At different times, the music can sound drenched in angst, unassuming awkwardness, know-it-all philosophy, and heart-throb. These songs are my own transition in a half-hour nutshell. Personally, I like to think that the transition is still happening, as I dread feeling fully on the other side of it.
